Hollywood 40 Is Building the Platform He Once Needed

Hollywood 40’s story doesn’t begin with awards, nominations or a stage. It begins with a decision to keep going.

The Columbus, Georgia artist, musician, music director and U.S. Army veteran has built a career rooted in music, accountability and second chances. According to his biography, Hollywood 40 began playing as a church musician at just 12 years old before joining the Army at 17 and deploying to Iraq the following year.

Years later, his life took another major turn. Following an accidental shooting in 2011, Hollywood 40 faced an involuntary manslaughter conviction—a chapter he now speaks about through the lens of accountability, faith and rebuilding.

Music became part of that rebuild.

His career has since expanded beyond recording into live performance, musical direction and show production. Hollywood 40 earned a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nomination for his record “On Da Floor,” and his catalog includes “Walk It Back,” a collaboration with Grammy-winning artist CeeLo Green.

Now, he’s turning his attention toward creating opportunities for other artists.

Hollywood 40 is the creator and host of Hollywood 40’s Small Table, an intimate performance and interview platform that brings artists into a live-production environment complete with musicians, vocal arrangements and conversation. Rather than simply giving artists another place to perform, the concept is built around presenting their music differently—placing storytelling and musicianship at the center.

For Hollywood 40, that mission feels personal. Small Table represents the type of platform he says he once needed himself: somewhere artists at different stages of their careers can be heard, developed and presented with intention.

The next evolution is live. Hollywood 40’s Small Table Concert is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, at Pro Sounds Studio in Columbus, Georgia.

His story is ultimately less about erasing the past than deciding what comes after it. From military service and personal loss to rebuilding a career in music, Hollywood 40 has transformed his experiences into something larger than his own artist journey.

Now, he’s building the table—and creating room for other artists to sit at it too.
