Caleb Colossus Is Building on His Own Terms

There’s a difference between making music and building a career around it. Caleb Colossus is focused on both.

The Atlanta artist first reached a national audience as a top-five contestant on Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow, competing in front of Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and T.I. Since then, he’s continued building independently while expanding what the Caleb Colossus brand can actually become.

The Campaign ATL caught up with Caleb as he enters his next chapter — one centered around music, brand collaborations, television, film and acting.

Music remains at the center. His latest album, When a Man Falls, leans into the storytelling that has become part of his identity as an artist, with records like “tv dad” showing a more personal side of where he is today.

But Caleb is also thinking beyond streams.

He has developed a real lane in brand partnerships and content creation, and his talent representation currently lists opportunities across brand campaigns, commercials, voiceover and media appearances.

Now, TV, film and acting are part of where he wants to take things next.

And maybe that's the bigger story.

For today's independent artist, the goal doesn't always have to be getting signed and waiting for everything else to follow. Sometimes it's about taking the audience you've already built and creating more places for your talent to live.

For Caleb Colossus, music opened the door. He's focused on seeing how many rooms it can lead to next.
