Karmen Rydem Is Building the Next Chapter of The Campaign ATL

For Karmen Rydem, The Campaign ATL has never just been about posting artists.

It has always been about creating a platform that helps people get seen, get connected and get in the right rooms.

Now, after relaunching the brand in 2026, Karmen is focused on building The Campaign ATL into something bigger than a media page. The next chapter is about turning it into a full media, culture and business platform that supports artists through editorial, live experiences, resources, visibility and real opportunities to grow.

That means more stories, more interviews, more original content and a stronger focus on the business behind the music.

The Campaign ATL is expanding its editorial coverage across music, culture and business, while also creating more room for independent artists and creatives to tell their stories. Rather than only covering releases, the goal is to talk about what artists are actually navigating — marketing, visibility, money, branding, audience growth and what it takes to build a sustainable career.

Live experiences will continue to be a major part of that growth.

Through The Camp Out, Karmen is creating spaces where artists, producers, songwriters, creatives and industry professionals can connect outside of their normal circles. The event is designed to give artists access to fresh ears, real feedback, new relationships and opportunities that may not happen online.

And that is something Karmen plans to continue building.

The next phase of The Campaign ATL will also include more original interviews, artist performances, editorial shoots and content production, giving the platform a stronger visual identity while creating more opportunities for artists to be seen beyond a traditional article.

There is also a bigger business play behind the platform.

Through products like the Digital Campaign, PR Blast, Independent Artist Playbook and The Campaign ATL Experience, the brand is creating different ways for artists, brands and creatives to invest in their visibility and marketing without necessarily committing to a full agency retainer.

For Karmen, that distinction matters.

The goal is not to turn every independent artist into a full-service client. Instead, The Campaign ATL is being built as an ecosystem where artists can enter at different levels — whether that is reading an article, attending The Camp Out, submitting their story, purchasing a visibility product or eventually working with one of the businesses connected to the platform.

At the center of all of it is still the same mission: helping people get outside of their circle.

Karmen believes one of the biggest challenges independent artists face is not always the music itself. Sometimes it is access, strategy, consistency and getting in front of people who have never heard of them before.

That is where she sees The Campaign ATL continuing to grow.

After more than a decade since the brand was first established, the next chapter is less about simply bringing it back and more about building the infrastructure around it so it can continue to grow.

More editorial. More original content. More events. More visibility. More resources. More opportunities.

And this time, Karmen is building all of those pieces to work together.

The culture lives here.
